ZZ Top is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a reason. This humble band from Texas has made a lasting impression throughout their career, so here are 5 interesting facts about ZZ Top.

1) ZZ Top is considered to be the longest running American band without any band members changing.



2) Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard were all born in the same year: 1949.

3) In the year 2000, bassist Dusty Hill was diagnosed with Hepatitis C.

4) At one of their first shows in 1970, only one person came. They bought the single attendee a coke.



5) During their 5th album tour, ZZ Top had live animals accompany them onstage which included: vultures, buffaloes and rattlesnakes. While on stage during a show, a buffalo rammed open the rattlesnake cage.
