Foo Fighters are set to release their new album But Here We Are in June. The band has announced that the record is dedicated to both Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl’s late mother, Virginia.

The tribute was revealed in a post by graphic design company Morning Breath Inc. The record includes an inscription that reads “For Virginia and Taylor”.

It was reported that Grohl’s mom passed away in July 2022, however, the band never made a statement and there is no obituary online.

Virginia was involved in Grohl’s career, publishing her book From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars. The book was turned into a TV show, directed by Grohl himself. Virginia was a longtime public school teacher.

She died just months after Hawkins passed away in March 2022.
