Guitars played onstage by Eric Clapton and Kurt Cobain are up for auction

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Julien’s Auctions will be handling the sale. The guitars… Eric Clapton’s The Fool and Kurt Cobain’s Skystang One, will be sold on November 17th and 18th live from Nashville’s Hard Rock Café.

The Kurt Cobain guitar was played at his final public performance during Nirvana’s 1993-1994’s In Utero Tour.

Clapton’s principal guitar was used for most of the work that followed Fresh Cream. It was later owned and played by Todd Rundgren, who renamed it Sunny, after Cream’s “Sunshine of Your Love.” It’s estimated to bring somewhere between 1 and 2 million dollars.
